The Nile River and the vast Sahara Desert contributed greatly to the Egyptians. Life in Ancient Egypt was revolved around the Nile river. When the Nile flooded, it provided silt that the Egyptians could use for farming. The people of Ancient Egypt made mud bricks so that they can build their houses. They also grew food that could then be traded in for produce that they could not produce. Everyone ate well in ancient Egypt. Everyone bathed daily. The rich people bathed in soaking tubs with scented soap and the poor bathed in the Nile River.
The Sahara desert was the barren land that protected Egypt on two sides. These deserts separated ancient Egypt from neighboring countries and invading armies. They also provided the ancient Egyptians with a source for metals and stones.
